I had enough people express interest that I had a run of shirts made up.  They turned out even better than I had expected and they have now all gone to good homes so maybe you will see Hippy the Tactical Hippo in your travels! The latin loosely translates to: Fat, Cuddly, Deadly  -the true ethos of Hippy

Pistol Component Almost complete

Posted: February 21, 2012 in Uncategorized

As you have noticed, the articles for the pistol component are nearly complete.  “2 – Sight Alignment with Pistols” and “3 – Trigger Pull with Pistols” are done and article 1 is just waiting on a few more pictures – so I apologise for the few gaps that still exist.

I’ve also been putting together the monstrous Article 4 –  ”Pistol Manipulation and Drills”.  This is a substantial beast and is taking most of what little free time I can throw into it, but it does cover malfunctions, reloads, clears, ready positions and holster draws so it should be quite comprehensive.

Once my photographer-extraordinaire returns from the other side of the world I hope to get the last bits of 1 finished and post up article 4 as well.

A big Thanks has to go out to everyone from around the world who has been viewing this and providing your feedback.  The project keeps growing and expanding given and the good results I have received is a big part on giving me the energy to keep going.

In the mean time, here is something to keep you going:  Two very different rifles with their own unique beauty  – both extremely fun to shoot!  Both of these, and many others will appear when the Carbine section of this site starts to go up!

Testing Phase

Posted: January 27, 2012 in Uncategorized

This Blog is currently under construction and testing.  It should be up and running within the next 2 months and will comprise primarily of set pages which include articles on how to shoot.  I will be starting with pistol and working my way along.  Eventually this will be opened up to the general public and put through its paces.  I hope it proves helpful to people in whatever their shooting goals may be.  Unlike most blogs, the majority of the set information is within the articles which can be found in the top left of the screen rather than posts added daily.  Have a peek at the ‘About’ page to learn more, then make your way through the other pages.  If you like it, tell your friends…  the whole point of this is to assist as many shooters as possible.
